The Honda’s CRF250R motorcycle ridden by Daniel Craig in the opening sequence of the new James Bond caper Skyfall is being auctioned on eBay in aid of Children In Need.
Honda (UK) has donated the modified CRF250R motocrosser to the BBC’s annual fundraising auction, in which bidders buy items and the winning bid forms a donation to the charity appeal.
The machine appeared in the opening scene of Skyfall, filmed in Istanbul and Adana, Turkey, earlier this year. Two bikes were used, a ‘police’ bike and a ‘street merchant’s’ bike, the latter ridden by Craig in pursuit of film’s henchman, Patrice (Ola Rapace).
The auction will close at midnight on Thursday November 22.
Honda is hoping that the bike will raise tens of thousands of pounds for BBC Children in Need, which campaigns to make a positive difference to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in the UK.
