The Life of Ian Fleming (1908-1964) Ian Lancaster Fleming, born 28 maj 1908          i Mayfair, London, died 12 augusti 1964  Canterbury.= 56 year old.


Goldeneye was the name given by Ian      Fleming to his estate in Oracabessa,       Jamaica. He      purchased the land next door to Golden Clouds estate and built his house      on the edge of a cliff, overlooking a private beach.]      The original house was a modest structure consisting of three bedrooms and      a swimming pool. Fleming’s coterie of friends who visited him at Goldeneye      included actors, musicians and filmmakers

Jamaica opens third international airport named after Ian Fleming… Minister
Bruce Golding yesterday officially opened the island’s third international
airport at Boscobel in St Mary. Named in honour of late British author and
journalist Ian Fleming, who created James Bond, the Ian Fleming International
Airport will primarily handle private jets with specialised service for
scheduled charters.

The former Boscobel Aerodrome has been significantly
upgraded and boasts, among other things, a completely resurfaced and extended

It is expected to cater to the needs of high-end tourists and the
general aviation market. Several government officials, representatives from the
tourism sector, including chairman of Sandals Resorts Gordon ‘Butch’ Stewart,
hotelier and former music mogul Chris Blackwell as well as members of the
Fleming family were present to witness the opening.
