Det är en helt vanlig vardagsmorgon i augusti. Från Kalmarsund drar en lätt morgonbris in över centrala Kalmar. Strömmen av bilar, som på de stora korsande trafiklederna Esplanaden och Norra vägen för in folk till sina arbetsplatser på Kvarnholmen tätnar. I sydvästra hörnets kvarter av trafikkorsningen löper Spikgatan. Det ligger ett antal välbevarade hus från förr vid den trånga Spikgatan. Ett av husen är ett rött trähus byggt år 1800 i tre våningar. Spikgatan 10 står det på nummerskylten. Men på väggen sitter även en annan skylt. På den står det något oväntade namnet ” GOLDENEYE”, skrivet i guld samt 007 över entrén…

Had a great time at the 007 Museum in Nybro! Comes highly recommended if you’re a fan of the rouge agent on her majesty’s secret service or even remotely interested in Bond-Movies.

This place is amazing: An unbelieveable lifetime collection of Bond memorabilia along with several screen-used props from the movies!

The icing of the cake is the owner of the museum: Nils James – A amazingly kind and knowledgable soul. Mr Bond has plenty of interesting stories to tell if you stick around to listen!

The only regrets I have are:

1) Not taking a selfie with Bond James Gunnar

2) Not spending more time in the museum

Just returned from the world premiere, Barometern-OT met James Bond / Gunnar Schäfer at his Bond Museum. The day before, he was past Karlstad to pick up the latest vehicle for his collections. A James Bond version of the Tiger 900 motorcycle made in 250 copies. The model used by a stuntman in the movie "No time to die".

- It is the only place in the Nordics that sells it. They called and told me that if you want it, you can get it here, he says.

How was the premiere of the documentary in New Zealand?

- It is once in a lifetime you get the opportunity to attend a world premiere. A great honor to be invited and to come down to the film festival.

After the screening, there was question time with the other participants and the filmmaker. Several in the audience then wanted to take pictures with him and there was also an opportunity to sign autographs. In connection with the premiere, James Bond / Gunnar Schäfer was also interviewed on New Zealand radio and television.

In the film, he tells his story. How his father disappeared without a trace when Gunnar was only two years old. He then adopted the author Ian Flemming and his character James Bond, like a father figure. And also came to add that name next to its own.
